Hyundai’s highest selling Mini SUV – The Creta has finally got a Facelift. Yes after being spotted in camo multiple times throughout the country, Hyundai finally unveils the New Facelifted Creta.
Whats new you ask? Sunroof to begin with, with the growing craze of Sunroofs in the Indian car buyers psyche this was overdue as the bigger Tucson and even bigger Santa Fe didn’t come with Sunroof even though they were priced at a premium. New Creta has a more subdued front design with a new grill and DRL’s near the fog lamp housing. Looks funky we think. Power adjusting front seats, Wireless Phone Charger, SpeedSensing Locks (Should have been there since the beginning), Sliding Armrest, Cruise Control and height adjustable driver seat are few of the new stuff that you will get. The Ventilated seats from Verna and Elantra are sourly missed though.
But being a Hyundai, there is more. Now you can get a Smart Key band to lock and unlock your Creta, Something similar to the Tata’s offering on the Nexon. You also get applications for Autolink Connected Car System and iBlue app for Audio control. 6 Airbags, ABS EBD, Hill start assist etc are there too. Two New Colors options – Marina Blue and Passion Orange have been launched along with a Passion Orange and Black combo. Orange is the New Black it seems, every car manufacturer is launching the Orange color.
Under the hood?
No botox treatment here, the 1.4 and 1.6 CRDI diesel and 1.6 Petrol motors remain unchanged. Not that we are complaining, as these engines are very refined and offer good power and torque figures. The Automatic diesel is only available in the 1.6L variant.
Well, don’t expect to be chilling in the traffic with the sunroof open and some gear-clutch driving. The Automatic version doesn’t come in the topmost SX(Optional) variant which means you have to let go of the Sunroof. Why Hyundai Why?
